SeekTrace Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 7, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Tivania OU (“SeekTrace,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the SeekTrace website, apps, and related services (the “Service”).
This Policy applies to two categories of individuals: (a) Users, people who create an account and run searches, and (b) Data Subjects, people whose information may appear in search results, who are not necessarily SeekTrace users themselves. Section 8 explains the rights available to Data Subjects specifically.
2. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide directly
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, password.
- Payment data: billing name and address (full card data is processed by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers).
- Search queries you submit (phone numbers, email addresses, usernames).
- Communications with our support team.
b) Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referral URLs, timestamps.
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 9).
c) Information from third parties
- We license or aggregate data from public records, data partners, and other proprietary or third-party sources to populate search results.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service and deliver search results;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Authenticate accounts and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and updates;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
- With your consent where required, for marketing communications.
We do not use, and do not permit our data partners to represent, the data provided through the Service as a “consumer report” under the FCRA, and it may not be used for eligibility decisions regarding credit, employment, insurance, or housing (see our Terms of Service, Section 3).
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you sign up for;
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve our product, balanced against your rights;
- Consent: for optional cookies/marketing, which you may withdraw at any time;
- Legal obligation: where processing is required by law.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who support hosting, payments (e.g., Stripe/Solidgate), analytics, customer support, and fraud prevention, under confidentiality and data-processing agreements;
- Data partners who supply the underlying public-record and licensed data displayed in search results;
- Legal and safety authorities, where required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, property, or safety;
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a materially similar one.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Search query logs are retained for 12 months for fraud-prevention and security purposes.
7. Your Privacy Rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland (GDPR)
You have the right to: access your data; request correction or deletion; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA) or in another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas)
You have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it’s used; request deletion; request correction; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising); and limit use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To submit a request, please use [email protected]. We will verify your request using account or identity information before processing it.
8. Opt-Out: Removing Your Information From Search Results
If your information appears in SeekTrace search results and you are not a SeekTrace user, you may request that we remove your record from our public-facing search index. To submit an opt-out request, contact us at [email protected] with the details of the listing you’d like removed (e.g., the URL or name/location shown in the record) and a clear statement that you are requesting removal (“opt-out”). To verify that only the actual data subject can request removal, we may ask you to confirm your identity via the email address associated with the listing before processing your request.
We will process verified removal requests within 30 days, consistent with applicable state law.
Removal from SeekTrace does not remove the underlying record from the original public source or from other third-party aggregators.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and (where consented to) advertising. You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie banner or your browser settings.
10. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Data Transfers
Where we transfer personal data across borders (e.g., from the EEA to the U.S.), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy mechanism.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at [email protected], and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email before taking effect. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
